What I Offer

ADHD Assessments

I provide ADHD diagnostic assessments for children (aged 7 and over) and adults. Assessments are gold standard and in line with NICE guidelines. Initial consultations are offered as a first step as an opportunity to discuss your concerns, review scores from various screening questionnaires sent ahead of the session and discuss whether a full assessment is necessary.

If warranted, ADHD assessments are typically completed over 3-4 hours. The number of sessions will depend on individual circumstances (e.g. 1 x 3-hour appointment or 2 x 2-hour appointments). Assessments are completed in person in St Albans.

What does this include?

  • QB Check – a computerised test of attention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. This lasts approximately 20 minutes.
  • Clinical interview to explore family history, school experience and the impact that difficulties may be having on you/your child’s life.
  • Completion of various screening questionnaires.
  • Telephone call with school/partner/parents as appropriate.
  • Following the assessment you will be invited to a feedback session to discuss the results of the assessment. A formal report is also included within this fee.

Initial consultation– 50 minutes – £170 (required as part of the assessment)

Full ADHD assessment including feedback session and report – £1,080

Total cost of assessment – £1250

Unfortunately, I don’t offer ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) assessments.

Psychological Therapy

I provide therapeutic support for children and young people who are experiencing low mood, poor self-esteem and anxiety (including OCD). I have had further training in providing specialist support to young people who have neurodevelopmental difficulties such as ADHD and ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). My work will often involve the parents in order to think about how the young person can be supported at home, and to ensure that the young person’s acquired knowledge, understanding and strategies are implemented outside of the therapy room.

I use a range of therapeutic models depending on the needs of the young person and family. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

I aim to make therapy feel a safe and supportive environment where your child can feel at ease.

Support for Schools

I have experience of working in primary, secondary and specialist schools both in Islington and Hertfordshire supporting pupils and parents, in addition to providing consultation and training to staff.

I continue to offer consultation and bespoke training to staff in schools to support the wellbeing of students. Please get in touch to discuss the needs of your staff team. Below is a list of previously covered topics.

  • Anxiety in the classroom
  • Introduction to CBT
  • Supporting children with attention and concentration difficulties
  • Understanding and adapting the classroom for young people with ASD
